Carla gets a pram chain..

No way the birth rate is decreasing..

Carla is the “new one” in the group of little humans. She was born in December and as a small welcome present I sewed her a pram chain.

My first self-designed pram chain was for Valea and according to her mom it goes down well with her. This time instead of ducks I made a pram chain with a monkey, giraffe and panda.

Here you can find the pattern and sewinginstructions for the pram chain.

An advent calendar is a must!

Yes, I know, Irma is still too little, to be excited about and advent calendar. She is only turning 2 in April and doesn’t understand the whole hustle around Christmas.
But that doesn’t matter, I love Christmas and now I have a good reason to have an advent calendar too.

Until I moved out, my mom put up an advent calendar with little bags, filled with little goodies,  every year. Without was no option and now Irma should get one too.

So I was sewing like crazy, to finish the advent calendar before December.

And here is my first self made advent calendar..

advent calendar

All figures are sewed double and in between I sewed in fleece, so the pockets are firmer.
The little pockets are made out of quilt. Therefor one side stays open, so you can put something in it.

Here you can find the pattern for the adventcalendar.

On the upper edgeI sewed in 3 loops, so you can pull trough the bar. So can hang the quilt on the wall.

Stuffed pins for Sigge..

Sigge is Villes little brother.
He is approximately as old as my nephew Hektor, who got stuffed pins from me for his birthday. Hektor really loved that game, especially since a ball was included und a balls are just awesome for the little one.
So I thought, it would be be a good idea to give those to Sigge too.

I already sewed some, that were meant for Lav, however I decided on some without a pattern.
Well, long story short.
Sigge got a bowling game, that I sewed months ago, but didn’t know who to give it to.

Here you can find the pattern for the bowling game.

The pins were immediately unwrapped and tested.

A diaper bag for Olivia..

For mom Olivia and her little baby I sewed a diaper bag.

You can use the bag as hanging organizer and for on the road turn it into a bag.

The bag easily fits a couple of diapers, a small pack of wipes and a changing mat. Additional I put tissues, baby creme, baby shampoo and disinfection spray into it. So it’s really very spacious.

Fruit boxes full of herbs..

When little Karli became the big brother of twins, mom Melanie moved with her family “into the country”. I mean, from the center of Vienna to one of the outer areas. Now the five of them live in a big, beautiful apartment with garden. I didn’t have to think too long, to give them something for the garden as a handsel.

DIY

1.     Therefor I took little fruit boxes and painted them with with lacquer paint.
2.     The herbs were repotted into prettier clay pots.
3.     And even though you probably can recognize without labels, because it looks cute a ceramic sign with lettering was stuck into the earth.

A mobile for Greta..

I wanted to sew mobiles for the twins Greta and Konrad. Unfortunately we don’t see each other that often, so now they’re almost too old for them. By now they’re already 9 months old.

Stuffed duck and stuffed hen for the birthday girl on Easter Monday..

pattern and sewing instruction hen and duck

Of course Irma got way too many things from everyone for her first birthday.
Nevertheless I also wanted to sew her something myself and because her birthday fell on Easter Monday, I appropriately sewed her a stuffed duck and a stuffed hen.
The idea for that I stole from a poster of Ernstings Family, on which two similar figures where pictured.
I had to think the pattern through myself though.

Lotte’s jellyfish..

When Irma was just a couple of months old, she got a stuffed jellyfish from a friend from Lotte Näht.
You can find more of her on Lotte Näht.

At first sight the jellyfish may seem a little boring, but Irma loved it! If you tickled her with the tentacles on the nose to fall asleep, it calmed her down a lot and worked like magic. Any other time as well she thought the tentacles were super exciting.

So I had the idea, to sew the jellyfish for the freshly born Benjamin too. Hidden in the jellyfish there is a surprise egg filled with lentil. So it rattles while playing.

sewing

Vladimir’s mom snagged the first jellyfish and took it with her to Belgrade for the little one of a friend. Benjamin got the second one.
I hope, that he has as much fun with it as Irma.

From hanging organizer to diaper bag..

free pattern
pattern and sewing instruction diaper bag

Benjamin was born in March and I wanted to also give the newly-mom a little something too.

I thought, a diaper bag would just be the perfect thing.

By coincidence the diaper bag also turned into a hanging organizer. Everything fits into it, from the changing table pad to diapers. Then easily coil up and you can use it as a bag.

A pram chain for Valea..

Valea is 7 months old now and most of the time gets carried around in a baby sling by her lovely mom.
When we went for a walk not too long ago, she was supposed to lie in the stroller and was not amused about that. Only Irma’s pram chain could put her mind at ease.
And because Valea never had play chain until now, I wanted to make one for her.
